Not fu*king likely! The Punk Rock Flea Market spreads the joy without the dogma this winter at the Quality Flea Center on 15th Ave. E on Capitol Hill.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDecember 13-14 the PRFM opens the doors to a community of brilliant artists and hard-working crafts people\, showing the world how we make a marketplace that’s rooted in human relationships rather than exploitative bullshit. It’s an anti-capitalist shopping spree on Capitol Hill as we play host to nearly 200 purveyors selling vintage fashion\, curated music\, sneakers\, taxidermy\, dog collars\, stickers\, action figures\, roller skates\, gemstones\, lunchboxes\, cosmetics\, ceramics\, robot dogs AND SO MUCH MORE! \n\n\n\nAll of this while our attractive bartenders pour cheap drinks of your choice\, killer DJ’s provide a lush shopping soundtrack\, and locally famous food makers fill your bellies. It’s a hell of a scene! \n\n\n\nThe PRFM remains an ALL AGES experiment. We believe wholeheartedly that children represent our hopeful future\, seniors demonstrate our checkered past\, and everyone has something to gain from being part of the PRFM. And we staunchly resist inflation by asking only ONE DOLLAR to enter the Punk Rock Flea Market. Take that\, forces of tyranny! Show up\, make some noise\, and experience what the free trade of objects and ideas really looks like. \n\n\n\nAs always\, the PRFM supports our friends the Low Income Housing Institute\, aka. LIHI\, with a donation from our proceeds. LIHI is a non-profit organization that provides homes for homeless and low-income people all around the Puget Sound\, and is currently leading the effort to build tiny self–contained houses for homeless people and families around our region.
